Power steering fluid
Hi there I was wondering if there was a easy way to drain out the power steering fluid that is currently on my car and put new stuff in? I want to get most of the old stuff out, but have never changed this before. Is there a plug somewhere that I can just drain it out or what do I have to do?
Thanks

RE: Power steering fluid
Find the return line heading back to the rear of the pump. This is a rubber line coming from a hard line near the underside of the vehicle. It's attached with just a worm style clamp at the hard line- disconnect and place the end in a bucket (you may need to find a small piece of hose to fit onto the end). Remove the engine belt from the PS pulley. Take off the PS cap and rotate the pump by hand the correct operating direction. This will cycle the fluid easy so you can watch what your doing and things don't get out of hand. As the fluid starts to get low in the pump add more fresh fluid (just like changing brake fluid). After several fill ups with fresh fluid you'll eventually see clean fluid coming out of the return line. Put everything back together, start it up, turn the steering wheel side to side to get out any air bubbles that may have been introduced...
