Bobby, this is kind of aimed at you, you mentioned a type of fuel additive for cleaning fuel injectors that you like. I forgot the name of it, but remember it was two letters, and I went to discount auto parts and pep boys and neither had any additives that had a name like that, so I don't think they have it. What exactly is it called again and where would I find it?

Also, if anyone knows of any good additives to help performance or maintenance, please share. Gas, oil, tranny, anything...

i like gumout in the clear bottle, the stuff inside is almost the color of gas, that works good for me.

Its called BG. i think u have to order it, that and Hyper lube ( www.hy-perlube.com ) both work miracles. also Chevron with techron works pretty good i hear, u can get that from the parts store

i've got 140,000 miles on my 5.0 but it looks like the guys before me put new rails and injectors in, should I use some injector cleaner just to be safe?

ive never gotten and BG, Vfast just told me it OWNS. i know people swear by sea foam which can be picked up from an auto parts store. u take the vaccum line of the master cylinder or seomthign like that and stick it in the bottle and let it suck it up, then run the crap out of your car. it helps a LOT they say, but i would change your oil after you do it

BG products are sold to pro mechanics and dealerships by local distributors who work for the company. You might find them listed in the yellow pages of the phone book. my Ford dealer used it to clean the injectors on my truck and it seemed to work fine.
