take it to a dyno shop...I did a 94 and put a trick flow kit on it and it didn't seem all that much faster at first...so I'd really reccommend a dyno tune to wake yours up

ok thanks from what i understand the heads have some port work but to what extent im not sure. thanks for the info i got the car running pretty decent. it had a really bad hesitation when i would snap the throttle i missed a vaccum line that went into the fender next to the fuel lines i hooked it up and runs great. there was some solenoid inline with the vaccum line yet to figure out what it is. map sensor maybe?

I ran the #19 all last year with no tune. The car wasn't really much faster at first but as the computer learned the stup it got a LOT faster. It still wasn't optimal but it was very noticably faster, granted I'm running better heads. Get the car tuned with a chip and it will really wake it up.
do you think it will benefit me in getting 1.72 rr as compared to the 1.6's i have now? also should call someone like diablo and have themburnme a chip or should i buy a chip and take it t a dyno shop? anyone have a chip they are selling?
I'd say it depends how much you can get the 1.7s for, if you do do them though make sure you do it before the tune. I only went with them because I had them stock, otherwise I would have done 1.6 stud mount with a larger cam.

SN95 EEC-IV systems do not use a MAP/BP sensor, different from the Fox EEC-IV, it is a 100 load based logic.... RPMs are used but are not the determinant factor..... before you take it for a tune, you should make sure there are no hardware problems in the system though....... run the DIY KOEO/KOER/Cylinder Balance Self-Test

As soon as you finished working on your kinks, take the car to get it tune, it will wake her up.
good luck.

1.7's will need new pushrods, they also put more stress on the valve train.
