347 power gain?

RE: 347 power gain?
Thanks for the info. I'm trying to map out a plan for a street driven stang I intend to get within a year or so. I'm still playing with h/c/i combos for a 302 in my head. I'd have to probably go with an all new combo after i stroke it (if i do decide to), correct?

^^^^I guess i could be more specific. If i built the combo for the 302, not overdoing it in aticipation of further upgrades, then the h/c/i would be very weak for the 347?

your right on the money man, I know you want to do the 347 now lol.
You see, when you go 347, the valve reliefs on the pistons will allow for most any aftermarket head and a big cam.
Put that on the 302, youll just dog her down.

The 347 will require a much different head/cam combo than the 302. They are all interchangeable, but if youuse the heads and induction from the 302,you will choke the 347. I myself have all the bolt on parts together to build my 150,000 mile 302, but when it blows up, I'll have to make a decision to use my existing cam (CI custom cam) on a new 306, or upgradeto a 347 andget a new cam. I imagine if I go 347 my Twisted Wedge heads will work, but I may need to open up the ports.

Yeah thats probably about how it'll go for me, due to the flow of funds. I'll have to do the stroker later, most likely. Unless I just happen to run into a good chunk o' change and a decent 4cyl notch. Then I may just build a beast all at once.
