Just installed BBK longtubes on my 88 GT. Went to install the BBK H-pipe and the ends dont line up with the headers. Have I overlooked something or is there a problem with the H-pipe or headers. Anyone else have this problem?

This is very common, contact BBK or go to an exhaust shop to have the ends reworked, I hate when that happens[:'(]

You would think this stuff is made on jigs and there wouldnt be any great difference from one piece to another.

Sagging motor mounts can cause headers to not line up too..........

I installed brand new prothane motor mounts when I put the headers in.

Do you have the h-pipe facing the right way?? maybe you're trying to put it on backwords.

Yes I am sure I have it going the right way. The ends of the H-pipe are spread further apart than the ends of the headers.They are off by about 2 inches.

hmm, does it have a clamp on the H you can adjust?

ive had to loosen the mounts and slightly shift the motor to get em to line up. and yea a bfh and oh yea some cussin but i eventually got it.
