wondering howmany miles can a stock 5.0 HO engine can run not taking Transmission into thought just the engine. How many more could you pull out of 138,000? need some help

thats a wide question could be another 100 miles could be another 100k depends on how its been treated and how its going to be treated.

all depends on how well you keep up with mantainance. i have 190k on mine still beat on her every day just leaks oil but that will be fixed with new gaskets. still runs strong still bring it to the track and race no problems. there is someone on here with a red vert that has 300k i think

mine has 200k miles on it now... it doesn't burn any oil and uses about a quart every 2800 miles. i just noticed a tiny tiny leak at the rear main seal. but since i'm putting a new clutch in this summer, i'll take care of that.

as long as the engine has been taken care of you could get a lot of miles out of it. i don't think mine is going to die anytime soon. hopefully. lol

165K here with original AOD tranny.My girl says I drive it like I'm at the track so I guess I do beat on it. Runs strong, no leaks, but does burn oil like 93_five_ohdoes.

264,000 on the clock for me. I've known peoplen to push 200K and run nitrous and FI on a stock block with no problems. The 302 is a stout little block, it can withstand a lot.

I saw that video, that stang had almost 1,000,000 miles and she was very happy with her car. Mine has 115,000miles and still kicking azz.(original tranny too).
