How steep of a hill
The sending unit would just give a false reading but the pump would still work granted that fuel was near the pickup.

the hill doent have to be steep at all for it to do it...as long as the car is facing downhill....the fuel doesnt seem to be getting to the engine...as soon as i push the car on a flat surface..it would crank right up on the first try.

If I recall the pick up for the fuel pump faces the rear of the car but the stock tank is not so elongated that all the fuel could rest away from it, did you have this issue with your old pump?

the old pump seemed to work fine but I replaced it anyway when i installed the new fuel tank and fuel filter.... i believe this fuel problem has to do something with the performance of my car also...for example if im driving my car...the car seems hesitant especially on the interstate or something..seems like the engine is losing fuel when i increase in speed.im installing 30lb injectors later today..but that wont help the problem with the car sitting on a hill for a while..not able to crank.

Oh the engine won't crank when its on the hill, I was thinking it would crank and not start. What type of pump did you install and is the tank a stock replacement?

Is it not cranking or not starting while on a hill? If tank is close to empty and your on a hill the pump will have problems delivering fuel.

Sorry for the misunderstanding but The car doesn't start when on a hill..(the engine is turning over but its getting no fuel when sitting at a certain angle like on a small hill)(usually when the nose of the car is facing downward)...mostly when the fuel guage is reading a half a tank or a little above....thats y i am considering the sending unit is the problem...

Again I don't think sender is the issue, you can disconnect it and the pump and car still starts and run, I am inclined to think the new pump is not situated correctly in the tank but I may be wrong. There are baffles in the tank to keep the gas near thepump from sloshingaway from the pickup in turns and such, when you installed the new tank did it have any think like this that the new pump went into?
