If I had an alignment 3 weeks ago and just got new tires, do I need to have it realigned? I have a friend who said I have to, but I didn't think the tires would have anything to do with the alignment.

Can anyone help?

HAHA, thanks I will let him know!!!

I told him that when I was getting my alignment, the guy said something about the tires looking kind of bald, and I told him I was going to get new tires, and they never said "hey you better get tires first"

I love it when I'm right..............

the alignment turns out better with new tires on compaired to doing it with bald tires and then putting the new ones on. youll be fine because it doesnt make a big difference at all wont show up in your tire wear pattern

As long as there is no overall diameter issues and they are holding air. I fail to see what difference some tread wear will have on an alignment. The heads clamp to the rims.

Please explain.

If we used tires to align vehicles, too many variables will be involved lol.


THe head is on the rims, laser guided and aligned, Center Hub.



Dont beleive that 4 tires free align mess on TV, all they do is check.

you'll be fine!! just drive it and as always moniter tire wear patterns to see if and when a prob starts to develop
