Default msd wire prob

Today I decided to change my ancient noname spark plug wires to my msd ones I bought. I changed them all, and saved the coil one for last...But it is to short and wont reach the stock coil. Do I have to install the msd blaster coil for it to reach??? So I just put the crappy noname coil wire back on and fired car up. Seems good, but still. Looks a little wierd with all msd wires save one.

chances are you used the coil wire for one of the spark plugs.

All the wires had two "boots" on them except the one that had the copper wire part exposed. It is about 1 1/2 too short Is it possible to switch "boots" around untill I find a longer wire or something?

yes, or use the old one and put a little extra dielectric grease inside the boots(should have come with the new wires or 50 cents at discount auto)

do this for the fun of it..take your ohm tester and check one old one and one MSD the same length...you'll see why I stress on getting these
