Default pressure plate resurface?

i bought an 88gt about two weeks ago, took it to the transmission shop(orginally for tranny rebuild, clutch worked just fine to me) and mech said i might need a need clutch. its a centerforce (orange face) and has these big steel blocks around the springs, really hard to push with ur hands. is it possible to get the pressure plate resurface and if so does it make sense to do so. im BROKE right now. thanks fellows

Its just easier to replace the whole clutch, so you dont have different aged parts going at all different times.

You're not supposed to be able to depress the p/p fingers by hand. If you think that's a problem b/c you can't, you're mistaken.

the piont i was making about me trying to push the fingers on the clutch is to let u know that its tough, and no i dont think its a problem that i cant push them down (duh) . dude told me its a 600 dollar clutch. he must of beat it up pretty bad and fast cause mech said i need a new one. previous owner said he had it for 2 1/2 months. i thought centerforce was a good brand, how the hell do u tear up a new clutch in 2 1/2 months! anyways its going back in the car F**CK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
