I would not go used on the heads. I did that once on some gt40 iron heads and ended up pulling them off 1000 miles later for some new TFS heads. Unless you know the person selling the used parts new is better. IMO

I got them from a friend of a friend. Anyway the car burned oil from day one then a valve spring broke a month later. I was in a hurry to put them on so if was my fault for not checking them out b4 installing them. I gave them to another friend who fixed them up and still runs them today but from that day on I have used new and not had a prob. Some used parts are fine Im sure but whoever is selling them has a reason to get rid of them. Just know what you are buying and dont be in a hurry

it does but they are gonna magnaflux it and check for cracks, and if the cracks are bad enough then youll haveto throw the heads out which = wasted time/money. remember these cracks cannot be seen by the human eye. get a port job on them to along with the head job. get the bowls ported to. if you want good performance out of them that is.

a bit yes, like they say there is no such thing as cheap horsepower. you may save a couple hundred bucks than say buying a set of new heads.
