Default radiator

on my 1986 mustang 5.0 automaic the transmission cooling line part that screws into the radiator broke off and the body shop told me i would have to take it to a repair shop to get them to fix it could i just do it myself by just prying back the little piece of metal and fixing it then put it back

Sounds to me that you will need to get it repaired by a radiator shop.
