hey guys well i have one question about the timing on my 90 mustang 302, it wouldnt start before but i move the distributorleft to rightand start it right up but the ignition module is really close to the upper house it runs great but my temp gauges its starting to go up my question is, is it on timing or i need to set the timing and how do i do it?


my other question is can i do a f303 cam on that stock motor?

f-303 will work fine on stock bottom end and if your dizzy is pegged against the housing, you need to roll #1 up on tdc and restab dizzy..your a tooth or two off right now

number 1 is passanger side front cylinder and roll motor up so piston is at tdc and balancer and pointer line up on 0 and when installing cam ...line the two gears up dot to dot while rotating assembley is on tdc on number 1

sorry so i put the #1 piston up and and it should be line up with th 0 on the balancer right then do i have to turn it a couple of turns to get it or just turn it until #1 piston is up and pointer line 0

pull the cap off and see if the rotor is pointing at number one prong on the cap and 0 on the balancer......2 rev of crank to 1 of cam

i should get somebody thats knows ho to do this i dont want to mess it up you are being so awesome by helping me but i dont know much about these cars those it point directly to the #1 spark plug what if it doesnt
