347 Stroker with Original Heads
Question. I've got a '91 5.0 I rebuilding. I did up the bottom end, Bored, stroked (347), ect. ran out of money and just need to get it back running. What do you guys thing about putting the original heads back on? also should I use the same cam or go bigger?

Absolutely will choke the motor, use AFR 185or equivalent head. I would go with a Comp Cam grind something around .550 lift. Good luck with the motor.

Since you're limited by the always present financial condition, it's really your call. You shouldn't obviously expect "great things" out of a 347 with E7 or equiv. heads, but that's what you can do right now. You have the foundation ready, it's a matter of planning and saving for a good set of heads to complement the stroker. Would it be "wise" to add to the cost with a "bigger" cam?...... your call, but gains would not be at the level you could be expecting. If you look at it in terms of $'s and ¢'s...... you're basically ~$1,800 (+ miscellaneous) away from a killer setup.
