Fuel Pump
Welli was getting ready to leave work and my car didnt start. I noticed that the fuel pump was turning on. Checked fuses and they look good. I have no pressure in the lines. Before i go tearing my fuel tank apart to install a new pump, could there be anything else i can check? Ive never had any starting issues before with the pump acting up. Would it just die like that?

RE: Fuel Pump
Fuel Pumps can just stop working or it can beprolonged up to a year and a half (recent exp). How did you verify you had no pressure lines? If you have someone with you, they can turn the key while you are under to listen closer to the pump, if you hear a lot of fuel sloshing in the tank when the pump is turned on it could be the FPR or a bad pickup on the pump.

RE: Fuel Pump
"I noticed that the fuel pump was turning on" so the pump is still turning on or was this a typo? A quick and dirty test would be to disconnect the filter and see if you have any flow, that is if the pump is making noise with the key on. The other thing is to check the inertia switch to make sure nothing happened (that is if the pump is not coming on).
