Hey guys,

I'm actually working on a Mark VII LSC but the LVC forums are so corny. So here it goes. After almost 3 years, I'm fixing up the car. It ran before I took the manifolds off and refreshed engine oil, spark plugs gaskets etc. But it ran VERY BAD. Anyways what I'm trying to get to is that we tried to shift the car into DRIVE with the engine "running". But nothing happened. Nor Reverse, nor any other speed. I would imagina that some seals have dried out somewhat. The transmission is fille dwith fluid. But I think that it's just that that fluid hasn't circulated in there for about 3 years. What's a good thing to do to just get it to move again. It just has to move. Of course I know I can take it apart and start replacing everything in there, but for now it just needs to move around.

Do I just keep shifting it from N to D and R back and forth until it falls into place?

Same thing happened to my 68 Mustang. If you are sure that it's filled with fluid, turn it on and let it run for a while. Once it begins to circulate you should be up and running. Good luck.
