plz explain my friend, i would loooooooooooooooove (im not being sarcastic either, i'd really like to know)to know how to do it without a spring compressor. the springs im trying to fit(eibach drag launch)need to be compressed like 5 inches for me to even be able to lift the lower A arm to bolt the strut into place. maybe im not thinkin out of the box enough to imagine how its done without a spring compressor.

you are right stinkinlicoln, they do rent the spring compressors, but they are these itty bitty little threaded bolts with hooks on the top and bottom, when you compress it more than 2 inches the spring starts to get so much tension on them it starts torquing sideways and looks extremely unsafe.

plz adder help me out on this one. im stuck[X(]

unbolt the sway bar end link from the control arm and let it sit as low as possible. Put the top of the spring in first, push the bottom half into the control arm. Then jack the control arm up until you can bolt the strut in.

Easy!

FYI. I have swapped springs in 7 stangs now, and i have never ONCE used a spring compressor!

ha, ok unless you're superman or something there is no way in hell you can just shove these drag springs into place and jack up the lower A arm. they are so long they dont even fit into the perch, they need to be compress like 5 inches before thats even possible. i should have my compressor today or tomorrow and i took pictures for you and i'll post em when i get home to show you how impossible your suggestion is. with stock springs i see what you said being possible....with these springs there is no way in hell thats possible.

maybe if you could look at my other post too i need some help with the lower control arms, this thing is becoming a pain in my a$$
