Default storing it for college

i've got no choice but to store my 89 hatch outside for the next few years while i'm away for college.
i'll be able to drive an hour and a half to come drive it around about once a month but besides that i wont be seeing it every day. And i can tend do it on the summers obviosly.
I have someone to start it every 3 days or so and i'm planning on getting a car cover for it. but is there anything else i should do in order to keep it away from the elements.

I don't think it needs to be started every 3 days. If your leaving it for a long while block it and stabil in the gas, and take your battery out and keep it charged.

car cover, and if you can afford it, id get a canapi for it.

defently change the oil before you store it, and get some stabilizer in the gas.

once a every 2-3wks would be plenty i think

Get the expensive cover and bungy it real good, place on concrete if you can cause the under carriage can rust

def park it on black top. if it is parked on grass moisture will accumulate and rust the under carrage. also fill ur gas tank and add fuel staibilizer and also put the car on stands so ur tires dont get flatspots. and buy the best car cover you can.

yeah just starting it doesnt allow it ot get to operating temp and moisture will collect in the exhaust etc and will wreak havoc on the system.
