my trans is starting to go and want to get it rebuilt. it is a 1995 5.0 with the stock trans. i have no idea what type of trans it is. i would like to know if i should rebuilt the trans that i have now and puta small stall (about a 2500), and a shift kit into it. or should i go with a C4 trans with a shift kit. if i do go with the C4 what do i need to do to make it work in my car. thanks

 

95 auto is an AODE, sssspphhhh 2500, forget that 3k plus, nothing less!
shift kit, they are ok, but drilling the VB (let some 1 who knows what they are doing do this) is just as good. some shift kits make you drill the vb anyways.
gears, 3.73, 3.90, or 4.10's help wake that tranny up.
c4=3 speed, no OD = no highway unless gas is cheaper for you lol
its gonna cost around 2k to rebuild the trans, and that should be with a tq. converter.

 

just buy a performance one ready to go and at least a 3000 stall
