Thanks for the info. I was looking into maybe taking it off of his hands for cheap. I think that I will pass because i would rather like to stay with the roller blocks. Would be more junk laying around the shop.

actually it wouldn't be junk laying around..webbing is thicker than late model blocks and with the right lifters it can be fitted with a roller cam and withstand decent power

Thanks again guys. Swayed me again. I will grabb it up and research what I will need to do to make it roller. Like I said all machine work was done. It has new .03 over flat top pistons mounted on stock rods, complete rebuild kit with alot of melling parts, there is a new camshaft in the box (factory), new flat tappet lifters and more (Master rebuild kit). I will see if he will take $200.00 for all, send it back to the machine shop to check it out. If it is good to go, I will have it clearanced for a stroker.

Nother ? Wasn't there a year on these blocks that they had an allternate bolt pattern for the transmission? What would you need to convert to roller cam/tappet setup? I am starting to dig some here to get a basic idea.

I also found a foxbody convertable with a 4 banger, all the panels straight and in good condition for $1500.00, a good project car to run up and down the beach with.

Answered my own question about the roller tappet setup. I found the comp cams Retro-Fit kit Comp31-1000 for $50 looking at the Brothers performance cat. Looks like assembly sets into lifter valley drill and tap to place and add the spiders to hold lifters in position.

correct and you MUST use a small base circle camshaft. They never had an alternate bellhousing pattern, your thinking about early 289's
