Default USED GT40P PREP

I JUST BOUGHT GT40P HEADS. THEY ALREADY BEEN MAGNAFLUXED. WHAT PREP WORK NEEDS TO BE DONE. SPRINGS, LIFTERS? I'M GETTING 1.7 RR FOR THEM. CAN U GET DECENT NUMBERS FROM THESE HEADS AN E-CAM AND COBRA INTAKE?

Yu'd be better off getting a good cam for the same money as the 1.7RR

STANG LX, YOU ARE WERE IM LOOKING TO GO. HEARD E CAM WAS A GOOD STREET CAM, BETTER THAN THE B. WITH THE 1.7 AND E-CAM IS THERE A NICE KIND OF LOPPY IDLE.
ALSO ARE THE GT40P GOOD FOR A 331 STROKER SET-UP , AND IF SO WHAT KIND OF NUMBER SHOULD I SEE

Yes the E cam get you a very nice lopey idle i love the idle and the driveability of it. I have GT40 heads not the P versions and they are port and polished too. They are good heads too and they will be good on a 331 you should see 400 or more HP with a good setup. Im going to get mine dynoed this summer so i will post the numbers then

There are alot better cams out there than the ABC Ford stuff, but yes I agree the E cam goes well with 1.7 rockers on a better than stock head - but that doesn't mean theirs not better.
