Im not retarded, but for the life of me I cant seem to get the bulb out of the housing. Just to make sure im not forcing it the wrong wayl; does the bulb just pull out or does it twist a quarter turn and then come out. The bulbs are the original, so its stuck in there pritty well.

 

I pull the plug out then twist the cover and wiggle the bulb out, they can be tough to get out sometimes, the o-ring is probaby hard as a hard

 

yea thats an understatement, The oring is like epoxy.

 

You did remove the retaining ring didnt you. Once you get that off it either plugs out or twists out. I think mine just pulled out. Its been a while since I had to mess with them.
