super charge it buddy i know a few guys around abilene texas that run the pro chargers and the vortecs. yes turbos will give you more efficient boost but in the end what are you trying to get? street racing performance or drag performance? its all personal prefrence but id look into the new direct port blowers from kenne bell instead of the centrivical type ive been doing a little research and thats lookin like the best route for my 5.0 but if anyone has any doubts ? feel free to call the BS flag on me i have no problem with other peoples opinions id like to hear them personaly

uh the thunderbird supercharger would be a pain in the *** and not nearly adequate enough for a v-8 as the tbird super is on top of a v-6
Oh well i thought of getting one of those since they are really cheap and you can find one wherever. but i am not trying to get like a super bad *** one, or kenne bell or anything like that because that would cost a TON of money and i barely have some for this project right now.
So which other supercharger can i pick up from other car adecuate for my 5.0? a lightening??

LOL idk some help guys, Thanks!

I just put in an SC and can say that you will see a noticeable difference in mileage. I wouldn't say HUGE, but noticeable. I can't tell you exactly what I'm getting cos' it's not a daily driver and I don't care. But keep in mind, you're likely to need to up the size of your fuel injectors and the fuel pump, so logic alone will tell you that you're "using" more fuel. As some of the previous posters have said if ya keep your foot out of it, you're likely to see relatively no change. At first I swear I blew through a tank of gas in a day! And no, i'm not kidding! But that was because I had some other issues going on with the car. Now that everything is worked out and running great I would guess that my fuel consumption went up maybe 10% more?

Don't do either an M90 or M112, as far as superchargers go they are garbage, maybe only better than a Powerdyne. Take a look at the entry level Paxtons and Vortechs, they are priced pretty reasonable.

I have a 87 with a 347 Stroker and a Paxton SN89 Supercharger. I am running 10 lbs of boost on 30 lbs injectors with 45 lbs in my fuel line. If I take it out on the highway and set the cruise at 70 mph, I can get 18 mpg. If I take it to the drag strip for one night and then drive it the rest of the week, I'll get about 120 miles on a tank of gas. [:@]Big difference.
