Bad computers in 95 GTs?

Bad computers in 95 GTs?
I have had an ongoing problem with with RPMs coming down slow. I have changed everything from IAC to VSS to vacuum leaks. Could my problem be the computer? I have heard that 94-95's have really bad computers. Is it possible to put an 86-93 computer in a GT? I am willing to give it a shot.

I think you may taking the bad computer out of context. When referred to bad computers I believe it meant that they were finicky when it came to doing mods and getting everything working together correctly. I have a 94...it's my daily driver with lots of miles and not a peep from the computer.

I think the 94-95 computer is desinged to hold the rpm's up during shifts. Mine has been that way since day one.
But if you are hanging longer than it should be, then try adjusting the screw on the throttle.
Ford put a goofy screw there, so I took it out and put my own in it's place so I could adjust my idle easier.
Look for it and give it half a turn while the car is running and see if that helps.
