i have a 87 mustang with just a few bolt ones and not alot else my problem is when i driving it around cruising it runs fine but when i floor it it starts studdering and backfiring around2700 - 3200 RPM's it kind of acts like it is out of gas or something but i just replaced the fuel pump/ filter. so i dont know where to go from there. any help would be greatly appreaciated

what kind of info like what its doing? i mean it will shoot white smoke out when i get on it. someone said it may be a head gasket but i dont know how i would know if it is the head or not. i guess i could check for water in the oil right?

 

yea, check the oil,that sounds like a headgasket to me too
