Default spark plug help

Problem 1
I just purchased a 1986 GT. I was checking the plugs today and found that it had champion plugs in it, nothing runs on these but lawn mowers and Chryslers, crap. I am looking for the proper plug and gap to run. The car also has a vortec supercharger on it with MSD igniton. Anysuggestions would be great.

Problem 2
When I was out for a cruise on a 95 degree day the temp. guage was creeping up, usually on the "R"in NORMAL, but now was on the "M-A" range of the guage. Plenty of air over the rad, I was on the highway with no cars in front of me. Anyideas???

Thanks
mat

hey there's nothing wrong with champion plugs, even edelbrock specified that i should use the rc12yc in my 331 stroker with the performer rpm heads. and it always ran great with them

as for the heting up, check the thermostat, check for cold spots on the radiator, i also know that little plastic peice on the bottom of the car pushes air up the radiator for increased flow so you may check to see if thats broken

I'm w/ fogs77. I believe chumpions are for lawn mowers and go carts man. I am 50 percent ford and 50 percent dodge(cause mopar financed me lol) and all my champions even in my new neon at the time might make it 15-20k miles than kaput. Put a autolite in there and god only knows how many miles youll get outta them. By the way i just ut some autolite 25's in mine and te parts store saidthe gap should be .54" if i remember. So i did gap them at .54 does that sound right to u guys. If not what and why sould i gap them to another " ??

while champoin may not be great plugs, they arent something to spit on like that..... Edelbrock specifically told me to use those plugs on my old motor witha 331 stroker kit in it, eddy rpm heads, rpm 2 intake etc etc. they are NOT horrible plugs sheesh
