Default OOOsss NOOsss

I broke two water pump bolts when i was removing my water pump. I just wanted to know if i was screwed?

pretty much got to take the ft. timing cover off, if you drill it out your ok ..

[/quote] ME TO but i drill of center ,,and had to but all thread and it ..and cut it after i installed cover and w/pump...but i on longer have that block..its common..just make sure your other bolts are good and dont break off when you go back together with it,,

i thinks thats the only way ..how for off did it break..can you see it buy the w/pump.. or broke off at the blk..? prob at the blk.at one of the main w/pump holes ...[:@][:@][:@]

its sticking out probably abouot a cm on both bolts

yeap pull cover ,,cut bolts off the cut off wheel .get a center punch make sure youre center get left hand drill bits ,,cause it it catches it will unscrew it right up ,,use some penatrating oil to..

When you reinstall use some anit cease (dont mind the spelling) as well. In case you have to do it again down the road.

Just use a bolt extractor from Craftsman from Sears. You just drill the center with a certain size bit and wrench the bolt extractor in CCW. Comes out like cake.

Have done many broken bolts.

I would not drill the whole bolt out because if you hit any threads you are going to have to use a tap to get it back to normal. Not fun if you don't have one of those HUGE sets.
