Got a chance to get aquainted with my 1986 mustang GT 5-speed last week at PRP. This is an original example of a 5-liter with 29k on it. This is a full weight(front sway bar intact, spare, jack,) car. Just like FOMOCO put it together WITH the exception of 1.air silencer deletion, 2.advanced timing to 14 initial, and 3.pulled the serpentine belt. 2.73's in the 8.8. Iced the intake and was able to hit 13.96,13.97, and 13.97. Best MPH of the day was 96.61.

Well I'm looking at a nice modded Mustang 88 LX even though its not a GT its all black with a nice 3 inch Cowl hood on it....I'm going to look at it on Wed. Hopefully I'll be driving it home. The Speed-o and Tach dont work but hey thats why they call it a project car , lets just hope the reason they dont work is because someone pieced the car together wrong???? I'll ask for a Car-Fax.
