Default tire size?

so eh im lookin for a newpair of rear tiress for the stang, what size do you guys recommend with a 17x9 rim? i have 245/45's on there now and i was lookin for some that can get some traction cuz the 245's cant hook up, i dont remember what size my dr's were so, i would just like some street tires that hook up better with less spinnage? any help? i was thnking like a 275/35 or something? btw i have 3.73's and a 5speed thanks

275 is about 10" wide mounted on a rim.

prob gunna be flush with the rear fenders.

keep the 245's up front

well i dont think i can do the 275 35's cuz i cant find them for 17's lol so eh how big of a difference is there from 275/35's to 275/40's which they make in 17's?

haha ok then lol scratch that idea, so will i need to remove my quad shocks so i can fit these? and maybe roll the fender? lol imma thinking of keeping the 245's for streetfighting then i think im goin to get some of the nitto 555 dr's, they seem good, any input on them>? thnkas adder

You will more than likely have to remove the quad shocks. 275s should clear the fender tho. The nittos are a good choice also
