you could add some .060 shims if you wanna stiffen them up a tad so you can spin a little higher without valve float - - but in the end your car is still gonna be slow [8D]

I would like to disagree fellas with all due respect, the stock springs are crap even with stock cam. I recently dropped in a 96 gt40 non p longblock inthinking the same thing, right after 5100 rpm it falls flat on its face "valve float for sure". I still have my trickflow spring kit from my previous engine and thats what im going to slap on soon. I had no problems with valve float with my other engine andI think trickflow has a good setup with valve seals shims the whole deal for around$140Summit racing has it I believe. Good luck and might as well do it right the first time

I like Comp's Beehives, but most people are skeered to run a single spring.

Ford Racing a50's or crane or 44308 are the only two i know you can use for sure without machine work.

not to steal the thread but can a stock cam be used temporarily with double springs that were used with an F cam?
