hey guys im new to the forum. i did a search but didnt come up with anything. i also looked the internet and still nothing. i was wondering if you guys knew the specs on the stock 5.0 heads. like the intake runners, stock valve size, chamber size, etc.. sorry if there is already a thread on this subject. i couldnt find it. thanks alot

they aren't any good really.... but if you're looking to get some decent heads for CHEAP get some thumper heads, they're stock ones that have been ported like crazy and they out flow the gt-40's

cause people hear "gt40 came on the cobra" so everyone wants cobra stuff on their gt, no matter how much people may try to deny it. but what about this, can gt-40 cars run with just those heads, the b cam , and the stock intake and run a 12 second 1/4? i personally have never head of anyone doing that.... and really it'd be better to get PORTED e6's cause they have a similar design to the tfs heads. and if YOU dont believe me then idc, do some research and come back

as for stock gt-40's being out performed by stock e7's and both being equal port jobs....when doing research you guys fail to realize to have an accurate comparrison all variables on the test motor MUST BE THE SAME!!!! IE..... put the car on the dyno swap just the heads and then draw your valid conclusion.......all RESEARCH I have ever done on such the matter NEVER keeps the Test on level playing field it's always two seperate cars with slightly different mods........all things being equal a equal ported gt-40 vs equal ported e7.....with same lift numbers being used or done on a flow bench to be equal the gt-40's should flow a little more but is flow the only variable that matters ?? no!........and I'm not of the philosophy that since they were on a cobra I'd install them on my gt!! it's more of a since the gt-40's have 1.84/1.54 valves and not 1.78/1.46 valves is the reason I'd pick gt-40's....which is the main difference over the e7's...and the P HEADS have even alittle more benifit over that
