its a stock LIFT cam, you can do just about anything TO the heads, including new valvetrain, larger pieces, portwork out the A

if you know how to drive, a gt-40 headed, X cammed notch can run 11's

I know this because my tuner has done it... several times

I would of never thought you could get that much performance out of a set of E7's

the guys that run those race classes literally have THOUSANDS into the valvetrain and heads alone...

that kind of performance isn't realistic for the average stanger

trust me they are not your average run of the mill e7's that lets say you have on your car....no where near close.. they may have e7 casting numbers stamped on there but they are not stock internally and gauranted are ported to the max.......I 've talked to a few factory stock racers in the past and was a mazed at what you can still call factory stock and what the rules are

You can work on the heads all you want. The stock cam is the interesting part.

with a comp cams stock spec cam
I remember there being a stock run class that is similar to the OP's setup. These guys run 306's to 7k with "stock" parts for similar times. The extremes that these guys go to are for drag only like no accessories and such. Looks cool doing it though!
