'93 Cobra vs GT
I am pretty familiar with the fox body mustangs, but there is a guy selling a mustang that I may look at tonight and says it is a Cobra. I know that year is rare and was wondering if there was a way to tell short of running the vin and seeing what comes up. Are the only differences bolt on and things that could be added to it? Thanks.
You could bolt stuffon a GT/LX to make a Cobra, but your talkin about many things. Upper/Lower intake, heads, clutch, brakes, suspesion, pulliesext. body moldings, plus alot more.
Yea that's what I was wondering if the only real way is to check the vin. It would be alot of work I thought to make one look like it as well as expense. I may look at it and try to get the vin run and see what comes up. Thanks,
esiest way to spot a fake: if it has cruise control it is NOT a cobra
real cobras should have, GT body kit WITHOUT the fake brake cooling vents, Turned up rear bumper with LX tailpipes, front pony grille, cobra fender badges.
thats what i know at least

Man, that's exactly what I was needing to know...thanks for that. I tried the search function before i posted but I didn't get that article to come up.. I found out this isn't a cobra, rather a GT. I also had my brother-in-law who is into newer Cobras tell me about the vin for it as well. Thanks again and I may go look at it for a GT anyway. Wayne.
