conversion ???
Ok, i have this 1990 mustan 4cyl and i am going to convert it to a 5.0. I have the engine, and the 8.8 rear end. Im looking for a used t56 transmission. I waswondering how much this is going to cost me and what i will need. I know i will need a newradiator and gas tank and im sure a new clutch.

RE: conversion ???
engine mounts
fuel lines (4 cylinder lines ran up through the drivers side)
computer
engine harness only
exhaust
throttle cable
sensors (you don't need a maf sensor if you have a sd eec)
may or may not need driveshaft, depends on the transmission you used
your tach will be double what it's supposed to read, You can fix this by swapping for v8 gauges or using a potentiometer on the input to recalibrate it.
If you aren't very good with electrical work then you may want to get the v8 body/dash harness aswell. I personally think it's pretty simple to mate a v8 engine harness to a 4 cylinder body/dash, but some people seem to have quite a bit of trouble with it.
I can't remember if that's all or not.... If i remember any more i'll type it.
Also, the t56 swap is going to cost quite a bit more. The t56 is a 6 speed. The T5 is a cheap swap (5 speed)
