Default 4.6 in a fox?

ok i was wondering if i could get my hands on a 4 valve 4.6L motor what would i need to get it to work in my 89gt...if anyone knows of tech articles or anything i'd like to read about it.. i would need the motor tranny computer and whatelse?? thanks

aje racing makes k members for the swap,youd also need different headers to match up to the rest of your exhaust i would assume. the four valves need a different brake booster too i believe(coulda been the 5.4's tho) i read an article on it somewhere

i was thinking baout picking up a late 90's cobra like hit in the rear..and throwin the motor and stuff in my89 gt...like a project

for your brakes, you;d have some fun... the 4.6 needs what's known as the "hydroboost" system instead of a vaccume brake booster the booster uses hydraulic pressure from the p/s pump, the 4.6 was so cramped in the sn they designed this system, it's also used on many diesel trucks since they dont create vaccume.... cant really run a vaccume booster.

while i've seen it done before.... man is that gonna be ALOT of work

well my dads not to thrilled on the idea...idk ill see what happends...he doesnt like the mod motors..but bone stock that 04 cobra puts down 380 wheel horse..my h/c/i full bolt on 308 isnt doing that..

yea....sucks...its ok tho...the next 5 months or so vortech s trim 8-10psi of boost (thanks to my forged internals) and an anderson b-31 cam....some niceeee power
