Default Starting problem

Had the same problem since i bought the car, when i start my car after its hot (go to the store come back and start it) i turn the key and engine cranks then hesitates then starts like 2 seconds later. However, in the morning when everything is cold it starts perfect, its just when the car is hot im having the problems. Once in a while it will just not start at all, i replaced the starter and the problem is still their. Now im thinking its the starter cable. anyone have an idea?

How close is ur exhuast to ur starter???
i would invest in a mini starter or rap ur current starter in intalation. Sounds
like its gettin heat soaked!!!
U usually have tha problem when u hav long tube headers!!
i had tha sam problem n ever since i put tha mini starter never had that problem again

if the car is turning over, it's not your starter, you have another issue at hand. Might want to check your fuel pressure or maybe vaporlocking if it's too hot under the hood. i had the same problem on hot starts and found out it was my computer.

Default RE: Starting problem

I'm having the same problem with my 94 GT 5.0 EFI, only mine does it hot or cold. The dealership said it was either bad ground wires by the battery at the chasis or the computer is going bad. I tried cleaning the ground wires and still had the same problem. The delay in the start could be the injectors leaking off or not getting power to them. Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what it is when it goes through this spell. Mine is waiting for the new ECU (HOORAY, lol ). They said the injectors are not pulsing, due to the bad computer. I had also put in a new fuel pump.
