400 rwhp with a 306?
I am building my mustang and I was wondering if i could build a 306 to put out close to 400 rwhp all motor. What do u guys think? I was thinking about 331 stroker but I havent heard much about those motors yet. I dont want to go stroker in less I have too. I plan on using AFR 185s as my heads. Let me know what u guys think.

All motor, you'll definitely need to do more than a 306. I think you can probably get a 306 up to about 350 to the wheels, which would be well over 400 crank.
Correct me if I'm wrong people, I'm guessing...

RE: 400 rwhp with a 306?
ive seen a post on another forum with a 700hp +-\a few 306 i dont exactly remember, i would think you could plan out a 400hp NAed 306 and build it for around 5000 including a purchase of a pms and other supporting items like fuel system and intake. I think 400hp is preety realistic for a 306 you just need to take your time and plan it out, go all forgde internals about 12 to 1 compression ratio Vic. jrs or 205 your choice and a custom cam then tune it with your pms youll see 400hp no problem.

It can easily happen. I have a D.S.S aluminum 306 with aluminum Trick Flow heads and a B31 Anderson Ford Motorsport cam in it plus many more mods and i am pushing out more then 400 horses N/A. It can easily be done but you need to put a lot of time and a LOT of money into it. Check out all of my mods --> http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/672744
