Default stock block and bottom end?

I know that most of the foxes 87-93 had forged pistons but what would you say they are rated at horsepower wise? Along with the stock block? How far could I push it before i had to worry about breaking something?

building it N/A and you should have no worries add a power adder and you may hit limits up around 450 to 500 rwhp block will be weak link before internals bust...usually it happens when a N/A block is built up and a heavy dose of boost is added on top of that

you can eather build alot of hp and drive it like a car or you can bolt on a few mods make 280-300hp and drive it like a 5.0 mustang cuz thats about how much stock parts can handle and you gotta remeber you talking about 20 year old motors, 280 is pushin it with stock pistons.

ok but for a daily driver that you want to reliably take you to work everyday i wouldnt want more than 300hp anything more then that and your gonna sacrifice reliability for performance. i dont doubt that your buddy made that much power and it lasted that long but he probibly didnt make many trips with the car and he probibly never touch the rev limiter (i dont eather) but face it 90% of the 5.0s ive seen get abused and abusing 400hp on a stock bottom end is not the best idea.

a buddy has a 95 gt, stock bottom end 140k miles, tf heads, intake, and vortech, auto and 3.73's
pushing 400-425rwhp, runs the crap out of it, less problems than my n/a 331 so far.
he lifted a stock head and it didnt even blow the gasket.

oh quite the opposite my dear friend...........that car hit the rev limiter more times than you'd ever want to see one do such and it was and still is a points weekly bracket racer..in fact my friend called me at 8:30 this evening to tell me how the day went at the track...but I wasn't home so I can't inform you on the result yet...and the car is driven to the track...30 miles away each time......trust me that car is beat on hard and reliable is one thing it has been...and if you knew how I scuffed and dipped that motor you'd shake your head and say it's not possible......for one it has 92 pistons and the block was out of a 89 grand marquis and it still has the stock bore and crank..I leave the rest up to you to figure out what I did for my friend.......300 hp isn't even gonna shake a stick at the stock components
