I have a 89 Mustang GT. The check engine light came on about a week ago stayed on while I was driving and went out. It periodically comes on when I drive and stays on until I shut the car off and it keeps repeating the cycle. I purchased a Actron OBD 1 scanner for about 30 bucks at advance auto parts. When I hook up the scanner and run the test I don't get any codes. In the manual it says if yo don't get any codes there is a problem can anyone help. Is there another way to get engine codes or does this mean I have a problem with my computer or electrical problem?
