i just got back from the exhuast shop to have my mac egual length headers put on my 89 lx and i also wanted them to put my new bosch platnium plus 4 plugs in and when i went to go pick it up they still had the plugs in my trunk and they said they dun like them and they put in some motorcraft 1's instead. i dun understand why they did not like them are they bad?

 

well first your the customer..they should put in what you say...but those plus 4's are terrible..they really did you a favor....and why didn't you put them on yourself?..what did they charge you if I may ask?

 

yea i heard the same thing about those plugs. you only have one spark anyways, the spark always takes the path of least resistance. its not going to give you any more power having the plus 4's.

 

i had those in my ranger. after about 4 months they had fallen apart and i had to get new ones. they did nothing for power...what a waste

 

no it's a good thought as it's suppose to give a wider area of spark//for which we all want this is why most serious hotrodders clip the electrode back on plug you would do more in indexing the plug
