.060 is not gonna blow it up ..I have seen a fair amount of .060 302's running normally.. a friend had one in his mild 65 fastback.......although not the most recommended and thinner cylinder walls reduces cooling system capability.......the standard is .030 and .040 would be fine to but if you ever have to punch a 302 to .060 I'd look for a new block..if however you are looking for power increases.. the bore of such won't give you a noticable power increase
I got an 1980 block here that is .060 over and still .150 thick in the cylinders, last just fine at those numbers. Don't automatically dismiss .060 over on a 302
pretty sure my car is bored .060 over, i bought it this way, and it hasnt blown up or anything, i was asking for displacement. not whether or not to do it. thanks.
