i think the conversion kit is $30-40 somthng like that, all you got to do is recover the freon and no not in the air that is a major fine, vac the system down, put on the conversion kit recharge with 134 and oil, check for leaks and thats it.

om im being retarded about it!? lol wtf i just asked a qustion. and i didn't reply yet and im being retarded about it ok buddy. any way i thought it was hareder thin that some one told me i had to replace every thing to new stuff ill have to look it up thanks.

since ur GT is sort of old it might need to be changed all the way out and converted if u still want a/c i dont have a/c i use the windows...it frees up about 7-8 hp!!! no joke

Some dealers and shops say you need to replace everything.
The other half of the shops just add oil and the 134A with the adapters and call it a conversion.

so what is in the kit and where can i get it autozone or what? do you just change the fitings? cus i have like 10 cans of 134a some one gave me still in the case.

The kits usually come with the fittings,oil, and the freon.
I wouldn't use air or anything like that.You may have a big leak and hear it while you start filling.Or you could have a small leak that takes a week to leak out.
Best thing to do is to charge it and see what happens.
If you really want to check it good buy a can of the dye you can install and put it in as well.Then if it stops blowing cool you can use a black light with yellow glasses and see where it is leaking from.
