Default tailpipes

so i got a ridiculous deal on a full mac exhaust headers, midpipe, and cat back for $50, used but not too rusty, so that was really exciting. The only thing that's missing is the tailpipes on the cat back it just ends after the hump thats connected to the back of the muffler. There's a flange there so i could just cut the stock tail pipes and connect them but since that's 2.25 inch pipe i dunno if that would decrease performance, anywhere i can but just tail pipes?

yes but if that is the old style 4 piece mac cat back..you'd have to call mac and see if they sell those style pipes still..I believe it is now a 6 piece set up...but the tail pipes may still be the same??? I have the old 4 piece mac set up

Ya i think it's the 4 piece so would it still work if i just used a pipe expander on the old tailpipes and connected them with a flange to the catback?

as far as I know they dont make the old kits anymore....completely switched over to the new style..I know when I got mine, the tailpipe came in two pieces, one that bolts to the flange, then the chrome tailpipe clamps to the end of that tube... I called mac and they said it was to make it easier to adjust...

they also dont durablack their kits anymore...

but running on almost 4 months and not 1 spec of oxidization, so they may be coated or something...

Just cut at the muffler and weld on some turn downs, who need tailpipes anyway
