Default Clutch Smells But Isn't Slipping

I recently installed a ford racing clutch and afteralmost a thousandmiles I startedgettingthe lovelyburnt clutch smell - even while driving normal. I gave it a break in period of a few hundred miles before any hard driving. I have adjusted my adj. clutch cable several timesto try different engagement positions but nomatter what it still does it, and I'm sure I'm not riding the clutch. And I never feel it slipping, it seems to grab very well. Is it true that the organic clutches can smell? Why else would it be doing this?

where is engaging now ? it should start to engage about 1'-1 1/2' off the floor

did you scrap the stock plastic quadrant ? for a good aluminum one ?

check all of your brakes... often times a stuck caliper (burning brakes) will smell like a clutch
