OVER CHARGEING!
Ok i have a 130AMP pa performance alternator. I also have UPR UDP'S crank pulley stock water pump pulley andthe pulley that came with the alternator. It's overcharging AMP light comes on and the amp gauge goes to the the top (18). Did not do this when i got it also it got stuck on 18volts and amp light on this morning had to turn off the car and turn it back on[:@] What do i have to do too make it not do this? RE: OVER CHARGEING!
To make sure it isnt just a faulty gauge get a multimeter and check the output voltage on the alternator, mostof the time if you takeit to autozone or advanced or orielly`s they (dont know cause it isnt there part) and then if it is there part they can only tell you what there machine says!!
this will most likely be somethng you have to resolve, you may want to call Pa and ask them if a specific pully should be used withthere alt, on a good alt the charge range should be between about 14-18volts anyway depending on the alt output and charging system requiements, it might be a normal condition!
The manufacturer will be able to help you more than anyone else, dont speak with the sales rep talk to someone in the tech depatment!
Most of your new cars charge with 18v anyway! It probably isnt anything to worry about unless electrical components are over heating!

RE: OVER CHARGEING!
That would be covered by the part of electrical components over heating! sounds like something is shorting, have you unplugged all your wiring to teh alt and reconnected them make sure nothig is pinched between the alt and bracket or the head or the cooling pipes by the alt! but teh best bet is call teh manufacturer! it is hard to find a problem thru typed words! but thats gonna be all i can offer, good luck to you!
