Default cheap cylinder heads?

im trying to find out if there are some companies that sell cheap cylinder heads.i know that edelbrock has some, but i heard in a magazine i read recently about some company called thumper i think that does work on stock heads. i also know i can get some explorer heads but i wanna know what other options i have.

Thumper sells worked E7's. Your cheapest bet is to snag some GT40's or GT40P's from a boneyard or from ebay. Also look at the sticky for Patriot heads. They meet the criteria of being cheap.

if you need heads, i got a set of GT40P's w/ arp studs, comp cams roller tip 1.6's and poly locks, under 500mi total on everything..

cheapest you can go for decent heads are used gt40 irons, from like a '93 cobra

typically sell for $300-$400 set, a little work on them and they perform very well

spend any moe than 400 on a set of stock type heads even with work done to them it'd be a waste and money I'd rather put towards a good set of aluminum heads

Thumper does nice work. I had a set. They performed well for what they were. I was happy with them. That being said, it's not a good bang for the buck. I knew that going into the deal, but I did it anyway for the sleeper image. Find a used set of TFS TW for the same money.

i dont really know what im gonna do for heads.i got a catalog that sells some edelbrock heads for like 600 that ill probly end up buyin once i get a job

thats probably $600 a piece bud...

and if thats the price for a pair... then they are bare castings, which means no valves, springs, keepers, locks, guides... etc
