ran 12.3s all day

So GT-40 Iron heads is easier then you think to hit 300rwhp mark with

like i said 9 out of ten imes it doesnt hit 300 ....but there are the occasional freakish motor

well actually if the deal goes trough ill have the rpm2 off jtmustang soon ..

its not a race car but also not a daily driver ..
i want to make it as light as possible but no over kill ..

its a 5 speed with nothing what so ever under the hood ..

i think ima stick with the gt40 heads for now .. i can just bump up the nitrous to make the same power ...

im getting the maf conversion 24lbs inj and aftermarket maf from a buddy for 200$

im in search of heads right now .. got the cam for 50 ..

looking to do 4.10 gears

all the nitrous stuff is sitting my garage ..
already running mt slicks..

as for the long tubes i was thinking 13/4 beacause i might upgrade and get serious later ..

so im still unsure ..

so im guessing my recipie for 300 whp might just do it ..

and it not taking a weekend ?? why not >? i could pull it out .. clean up the engine bay .. replace clutch do the cam and pulleys .. swap heads and do arp studs .. maybe do a aftermarket chain and bolt on the intake manifold an swap harnesses in a few hours ..even drop the tank for the fuel pump install ..

i might also get solid motor mounts and my a new front subframe ..

i dnt think it would take more than a weekend .. then get it tunes during the week sounds dooable

so the patriots are a no no ?

well if anyone finds me a good set of used head for 600-700 range pm im interested ..

any more input ?

Look at the combo on my car, it made 260rwhp on the dyno with a tune on EFI, now its carb, but it runs and its just a bunch a random parts thrown together, maybe i got lucky with the combo i put together but i had $1500 in my EFI alone, between intake, inj,MAF,and tune. and yea dude.....def. not one weekend I guarentee you run into a problem. Take your time cause this isnt something you wanna have to redo because A. you forgot something, B. you forgot that one thing C. Whats this left over bolt??? Do it right, the first time.

Yeah +1 on good luck with one weekend. It always takes longer than you think. So as a goal thats good but be prepared for it to take longer. I almost always run into something unexpected. Maybe a small part you can't get because its sunday and Napa isnt open. Or something you need and have to order but didnt think you would. Just be prepared for more than one weekend.

I also have been looking into the same sort of set up. Im planning on going with the Trick Flow set up, so let me know how it turns out.
