some questions, im new to stangs
hey wats up everyone. i just picked up a 92 gt 5.0. the car has a 302 to a 306. its got alot of work done to it like intake manifold, injectors, headers, etc. Now ill start the car up and its fine and ill run it for like 5 minutes of driving, it will then start poppin and not running so smooth and the cel comes on. first wanted to know how do i check the codes for it and wat are the codes and wat do u think the un-smoothness could be. i talked to a couple people and they said probabbly just a real good tune up bc the car sat for a while. any help is appreciated thank you

dude im not a mechanic but have had LOTS of troubles with my baby. Whoever told you to give it a good tune up was right in my book start from there the last thing you want to do is take a parts gun and fire away at your car trust me ive done it and it didnt help me lol. I mean i have new parts but uneccesary new parts. Give her a good tune up, make sure to check the timing ....also you may have ahd a vacum hose come off your itake...usually the car wont run but if it does it will pop and chug and just act like a bit@#. After you do that then more people will be able to help you easier if that doesnt fix it you know..... good luck man let me know how she goes

ROUGHNESS is most likely due to misfire, if it hasn't had a full tune up in a while do one

ok well i guess tune up is something i have to do for sure. the check engine doesnt blink it just comes on after running for like 10 minutes and runs good b4 that ya know. also there are some vacuum lines off, does anybody have a diagram of the vacuum and ****. thanx again and im only 18 so sorry and only have delt with hondas.
