Default Power windows

I have a beautiful, low mileage 89 LX notchback which I have modified performance-wise since purchasing it in 1997; trouble is it has limited options and I would like to add power windows. Anybody got suggestions? I googled the info and have found one company in Chicago (Electric Life) that supplies complete kits but would like further input as to ideas

Power windows will require a lot modifications, first I would suggest finding doors that already have power windows in them as you will have to change the window registers and glass. You will need the motors, new door panels, arm rest, wiring harness for each door and the jumper harness that goes behind the dash.

My 87 notch came with power nothing I added the door locks and mirrors those where easy. I'm now doing a power window addition only because my car got broadsided and I had to replace 1 door anyway.

Bottom Line Stick with your manual windows 1) because it is a rarity in a true 5.0 LX notch. 2) If your looking for 10ths in quarter mile times you don't want the added weight. 3) Unless you have a couple days time for down time and a lot of money for the parts required the mod it isn't worth it.

Here it the link to my site where I have some pictures and more detail on the conversion.
