no a nine inch needs the correct bracketry welded on to the case to make it bolt up, try currie enterprises to get an idea of what it'll need to look like

i've been told that the 9in rear needs more power to turn it since the gears and everything is larger not a huge amount more hp but its like a centri blower i guess its going to take power to get it turning then your fine after its going.

just like most things, you go bigger when you need to hold more power. thats y they put 7.5's in 4 cyl, not cause they are crappier but because its better for the weaker motor.

I was thinking of using a 9" in my '84 last year when I blew up the 8.8...
What I found out........
1) It uses more power to turn.
2) It was going to be about a $2400 bolt-in. This was after I had spool, Moser axles, 4.30 gears set-up and a new, modified housing.........
